Bulgaria’s GDP Up by 2% in 2Q 2011 Y-o-Y
Latest data of the Bulgarian National Statistical Institute show that in the second quarter of 2011 the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Bulgaria amounts to 18,804 million Bulgarian Leva as per current prices. Recalculated in Euro GDP is 9,614.3 million as the amount per capita is 1,284.1 Euro. The seasonally adjusted data for the country’s GDP show an increase of 0.3% in the second quarter of 2011 compared to the first quarter and an increase of 2.0% in the second quarter compared to the same period in 2010.
In the second quarter of 2011 the GDP in the European Union increased by 0.2% compared to the previous quarter. For the same period the GDP in Bulgaria increased by 0.3%. Compared to the same period in 2010 the seasonally adjusted data show an increase of 1.7% of the GDP in EU-27. Bulgaria’s GDP increased by 2.0% in the same period.
