Bulgarian holiday properties draw increased interest from neighbours
SOFIA (Bulgaria), July 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian holiday properties have recorded increased interest from buyers from neighbouring countries such as Romania, Macedonia, Serbia and Greece since 2016, according to Polina Stoykova, CEO of Sofia-based real estate agency Bulgarian Properties.
There is also increased interest from buyers from Ukraine, Moldova and the Czech Republic, Stoykova said in a statement last week. The segment of holiday properties in Bulgaria has overcome the crisis prompted by the outflow of Russian and British buyers several years ago, she added.
The range of buyers' nationalities is constantly expanding, Stoykova noted. She also said Bulgarian nationals account for half of holiday property buyers at the country's largest seaside and ski resorts.
In the first half of 2017, the volume of sales and the prices of holiday properties at the seaside and mountain resorts in Bulgaria were little changed compared to last year's levels.
