Located in Northern Bulgaria, the beautiful village of Glojene is part of Teteven region and Lovech municipality. Near the village could be found the cave Morovitsa, where has been found an evidence according to which the area was inhabited as early as the late Stone Age. The village was founded in the 13th century by the Prince of Kiev George Glozh and at that time was also founded the Glojen monastery.

An obligatory stop for those visiting the area, the Glozhene monastery is known for the fact that Vasil Levski founded here one of the biggest secret revolutionary committees in year 1871. Among other places to visit here are Morovitsa cave, the waterfall Vara, the areas Nyagulova water and Yamata, and Draganchovitsa cave. Each year on 1st May in the village is organized a fair. Further, there are two more holidays during the year, as well as a summer fair.
