This delightful property, in authentic Bulgarian Revival style, is located in the Rose Valley area of Kaloyanovo region.

The legendary freedom fighter Vasil Levski set up a Revolutionary Committee in this house in 1870 and there is a plaque on the wall of the property commemorating this fact. At the rear there is a 'secret' door through which Levski would escape from Turkish Troopers!

The house originally belonged to Father Danail, chairman of the local Revolutionary Committee and the interesting main key to the house is in the form of a cross.

The house was built in 1850, with bricks-trimmer joists construction, facing east with an area of ​​100 sq.m. The house had some repairs carried out in 2007. New roof and chimneys, gutters and downpipes, external wooden stairs and balcony, outside plastering, etc. All rooms have original wooden doors, floors, ceilings and windows.

There is a small lake on outskirts of village and others nearby. The village is well situated being only 26 Kms from municipality centre of Kaloyanovo, approx. 40 Kms from Plovdiv, 35 Kms from spa town of Hissarya and 36 Kms from historic town of Karlovo.

In May and June the fields surrounding the village burst into colour as the roses are ready to be harvested.

The Kukeri tradition is still celebrated here and the villagers take part in the annual national festival.

The house is in need of much renovation but once completed would make a wonderful, historic home.
